Julie Anderson - Chair

I am the local vicar and have 3 churches in Newsome, Armitage Bridge and South Crosland. I have lived in Huddersfield since April 2018, but my roots are farther north in Durham.

I am passionate about giving every child the same opportunities to grow and learn and to show them that they are capable of achieving great things if they put their minds to it! I feel privileged to be a part of Hillside School as it goes from strength to strength!

Kamran Boston - Parent Governor

I am a unified communication engineer with a special focus on cyber security.  I am the father of three young children.  I am passionate about children’s education and development.  I am proud to be a Parent Governor for our local school and will try my best to serve the best interests of all the children there.

She taught for 2 years on the North East Coast, living by the seaside before going to live and teach in Barcelona for 4 years. She returned to Huddersfield in 1998 and went on to teach in Kirklees schools ever since. Prior to her current headship, she worked as a teacher, senior leader and deputy, taking responsibility over the years for all aspects of running a successful school where children thrive. Away from school, she still lives locally with her partner and teenage children. Family and friends are her very happy place.
Debbie is passionate about ensuring that every child reaches their potential and strength, socially, emotionally and academically so that children can move forward and make choices about their future.
